Women who eat more berries could knock a couple of years off their “brain age,” according to a study in the Annals of Neurology. “The bioflavonoids in berries seem to protect the brain from the effects of aging, presumably by decreasing inflammation and providing the brain with powerful antioxidants,” said lead study author, Dr. Elizabeth Devore.

After spending six or more months stuck inside from rain, snow and sleet, you can’t wait to rush out and spend all day on a Saturday or Sunday in the sun. Not only is the golf course beckoning, but so is yard work, your kids’ sporting events, and the grill.

It’s easy to overdo your sun exposure in your quest to finally spend some time outdoors… especially when your skin is lily-white from being inside for months – and not used to the sun.
