About

Dr. Michael Thompson

Dr. Thompson graduated magna cum laude from Logan College of Chiropractic in 1994, has a master degree in exercise science from Indiana State University and worked as an exercise physiologist in New York City and Atlanta before chiropractic college. He earned post-graduate certification in rehab and was certified most recently as a chiropractic wellness physician, which encompass the areas of exercise, nutrition and stress reduction. Dr. Thompson played football at Hanover College and because he practices what he preaches is able to still enjoy playing some serious volleyball and run marathons.

Over the past 17 years he has dedicated himself to both his patients and his profession, serving the Kentucky Association of Chiropractors in a variety of leadership positions including district president. He currently serves on the International Chiropractic Association’s board of directors for the Council on Wellness Science and is a member of the National Wellness Foundation, the Wellness Champions and Chiropractic Leadership Alliance. He opened Vibrant Living Chiropractic in 2010 in Frontenac. He began teaching the Five Principles of Vibrant Living as a post graduate program for Logan College of Chiropractic in January 2012.

Dr. Thompson has seen the steady decline of health in our community due to prolonged stress, improper nutrition and sedentary living with the resulting depression, anxiety, insomnia, fatigue, obesity, heart disease, cancer, and diabetes and this ignites his passion to guide his patients to live a vibrant, energetic, longer and higher quality life.

Through his years of studying what wellness is and his 17 years of clinical experience utilizing these strategies to optimize performance he has developed a system to assist families in restoring and elevating their current health without the use of drugs or surgery.

Dr. Thompson uses a “whole person” approach to health care. This system of wellness means looking for underlying causes of any disturbance which may or may not be causing symptoms (effects) at the time and making the appropriate recommendations, care and lifestyle adjustments to optimize the nervous system and your body for maximum performance. Utilizing this approach has allowed Dr. Thompson to experience exceptional results over the past 17 years for his practice members in their journey to greater health and living a vibrant life.
