Over the past 25 years he has dedicated himself to both his patients and his profession, serving the Kentucky Association of Chiropractors in a variety of leadership positions including district president. He  has served on the International Chiropractic Association’s board of directors for the Council on Wellness Science and as a member of the National Wellness Foundation, the Wellness Champions and Chiropractic Leadership Alliance. He teaches post graduate courses yearly and is an adjunct professor at Logan College of Chiropractic.

Dr. Thompson has seen the steady decline of health in our community due to lifestyle changes including prolonged stress, improper nutrition and sedentary living with the resulting chronic pain, headaches, depression, anxiety, insomnia, fatigue, obesity, heart disease, cancer, and diabetes and this ignites his passion to guide his patients to live a vibrant, energetic, longer and higher quality life.

Through his years of studying what wellness is and how to regain your health partnered with his 25 years of clinical experience utilizing these strategies to optimize performance,  he has developed a system to assist athletes and families in restoring and elevating their current health without the use of drugs or surgery.

Dr. Thompson uses a “whole person” approach to health care.  His approach requires looking for the stressors in a person’s life within the 3 dimensions of health (physical, emotional and chemical) which are causing dysfunction within the nervous system leading to physiologic adaptive changes which present as symptoms/disease which the person is experiencing.  This method of providing chiropractic care has allowed Dr. Thompson to witness tremendous results with our patients in their journey to greater health and living a vibrant life.
